Urban@KAIST

Urban@KAIST is a school-wide initiative to harness pivotal engineering proficiencies within the urban landscape. Seamlessly fusing data, machine learning, domain mastery, and real-world experiments, we embark on a journey to diagnose and forge solutions for evolving urban dynamics.

Although KAIST's strength in scientific research is indispensable, our purpose is not just about science – it's about finding answers that work for all of us. Our aim is to find solutions that are technically robust, economically feasible and socially sustainable. Please join us as we work towards healthy and happy urban future.

KAIST-NYU Cities and Climate Changes (KN-C³) Workshop on Clean Energy Transition, Department of Chemical Engineering, KAIST

The second KNC3 workshop was hosted by Department of Chemical Engineering at KAIST. The workshop provided a venue to collaborate on clean urban energy transition between two Chemical Engineering Departments.

For more information, please check the KNC3 website.

The inaugural collaborative workshop of KNC3 took place at Tandon School of Engineering, focusing on the urban science and transportation. Six KAIST faculties and twenty from NYU joined together to exchange their experitise in data-driven urban applications including flood detection, equitable accessibility, urban region embedding, urban economics, inequality, crime, and the innovative concept of urban mobility as a service. The realm of robotics, too, found its place among the engaging conversations.

In the spirit of collaboration, NYU Future Lab contributed a vital dimension by bringing forth their insights in entrepreneurship and sustainability education, enhancing the depth of the workshop's impact.

Our gratitude extends to the stalwart support of NYU leadership, including the contributions of Prof. Samer Madanat from NYUAD, Prof. Maurizio Porfiri from CUSP, and Prof. Kaan Ozbay from C2SMART. Their involvement underpinned the event's success and resonated profoundly within the collaborative framework.
