2026 International Conference on
Urban AI
We invite submissions for the second International Conference on Urban AI, a forum bringing together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, urban systems, and societal infrastructure.
Conference Overview
This conference seeks to advance the foundations and applications of Urban AI: the design, analysis, and deployment of AI-driven methods for understanding, optimizing, and transforming urban environments.
We aim to foster interdisciplinary dialogue across urban planning, urban intelligence, city operations, operations research, machine learning, transportation, and public policy.

Submission Guidelines
-
Submission overview
We invite authors to submit a two-page maximum extended abstract presenting original research contributions to the conference.
Submissions should clearly address:
- The research problem and motivation
- The proposed methodology and technical approach
- Key results or preliminary findings
- The expected impact on urban systems
-
Review process and criteria
All submissions will undergo a peer review process (double-blind) and will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance to the conference themes
- Soundness or novelty
- Potential impact on urban systems
- Interdisciplinary significance
-
Formatting guidelines
All submitted papers should be formatted as closely as possible to the final format: A4 page size with 1-inch margins on all sides, double column, single spaced, Times or equivalent font type, with a minimum font size of 10pt.
- Submissions must be in PDF format
- The maximum length is 2 pages (including figures and references)
- No specific template is required; however, authors are encouraged to follow widely used academic formats (e.g., IEEE or ACM templates) for clarity and consistency.
- All submissions must be written in clear academic English
-
Submission instructions
Authors are requested to submit their extended abstracts via email to: urban@kaist.ac.kr
-
